Great coffee doesn’t start when you press the button. It starts long before that — with where the beans are grown, how they’re roasted, and the choices made along the way.

We wanted to rethink the coffee capsule from the inside out. Once we started looking at the coffee capsule differently, the question became simple: what could it be made from instead? The answer was already there — in coffee itself.

From carefully selected Arabica beans to a capsule made using coffee silverskin that  otherwise would go to waste. Giving it a new purpose, we’ve created a biodegradable, aluminium-free capsule. And where every part has been considered to create a better coffee experience — without compromising on taste, quality or what surrounds it.

THE COFFEE INSIDE

But a great coffee experience is about more than the capsule. At Sjöstrand, we believe every detail matters.

Our coffee is carefully selected Arabica coffee, sourced from cooperatives including Honduras, Peru, Colombia, Mexico and Indonesia. Each origin brings its own character, shaped by where it grows and how it is roasted.

From there, we work closely with our roasting partner, who has been refining the art of roasting for more than 143 years. Together, we’ve developed unique coffee blends specifically for our capsules — carefully roasted to bring out a fuller flavour and aroma in every cup.
